After struggling to beat Villarreal in midweek, Manchester United again struggled to despatch Everton, this time in the Premier League.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men took the lead towards towards end of the first half through Anthony Martial, the French man’s first goal since February.
With the likes of Sancho and Ronaldo starting the game on the bench, they were brought on after the break to help United get more goals.
However, just few minutes after they came on, Andros Townsend drew the visitors level, after fine counter attack from Gray and Doucoure.
Despite their overwhelming possession, compared to the Merseysiders, United were unable to get a second.
Substitute, Davies had the opportunity to win it for the Blues but opted instead to lay it for Yerry Mina who scored but was in an offside position.
