Some suspected IPOB members have allegedly caused a raucous in Imo, after they sacked staff and students of Comprehensive Secondary School, Nkume in the Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State.
The raid on the school on Monday disrupted the ongoing Junior Secondary School Certificate Examinations.
The students who were to write English Language today had to run, together with their teachers.
The gunmen burnt some motorcycles packed in the school premises, although no casualties were found.
It is believed that the raid on the school was carried out by the IPOB, who ordered all Easterners to comply to a sit-at-home directive in order to protest the detention of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
The proscribed Group had earlier set aside every Mondays for the protests, but later changed it to only days Kanu is to appear in court.
However Igbos still observe the sit-at-home every Monday.
