Bullets At Lekki Tollgate Belonged to Nigerian Army- Forensic Firm

Sentinel Forensic Limited, has testified before the Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution that the bullets recovered at Lekki Tollgate back in October belonged to the Nigerian Army.

It can be recalled that the Commander of the 81 Military Intelligence Brigade, Brigadier Ahmed Taiwo, had told the same Panel of Inquiry that only blanks were fired at the scene of the now infamous Lekki Tollgate massacre.

However, on Friday, the Representative of Sentinel Forensic Limited, Joseph Kayode Funsho said otherwise. He insisted that according to their Forensic examination of the scene and the bullet shells, the live ammunition were registered to none other but the Nigerian Army.

On the night of 20 October 2020, at about 6:50 p.m., members of the Nigerian Army opened fire on peaceful End SARS protesters at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos State, Nigeria. Amnesty International stated that at least 12 protesters were killed during the shooting.
