One Mr. Adamu Manjo, who got trapped in a well at Dandishe Quarters in Dala Local Government Area of Kano State, was rescued by the State Fire Service.
According to the Fire Chief, Saminu Abdullahi, the news of the incident came to their notice on Monday and they wasted no time in sending their fire men to the scene.
“We received a distress call from one Zakari Abdulkadir at about 10:02 a.m., and immediately; we sent our rescue team to the scene at about 10:11a.m.,” Saminu said.
Mr. Saminu said the 60-year-old Adamu was hired by one Abubakar Shehu-Musa of Dandishe Quarters to help evacuate sand from the well, when the unfortunate incident took place.
He was rescued unhurt and has been handed over to the man who hired him.
