The World Igbo Peoples Assembly (WIPAS) has beckoned on President Muhammadu Buhari to sit down with embattled Biafra kingpin, Nnamdi Kanu.
The Group, in a statement by its Director of Media and Publicity, Chinonyerem Dick said the shadow of the Biafra War still looms large over the East.
The Group noted that a continuous stand-off between the Federal Government and the imprisoned Kanu will only increase tensions in the East.
The Group also said the President has been partisan with his appointments, and such things don’t help garner peace in an ethnically diverse state like Nigeria.
“All federal ministries and agencies have been flooded by Fulani people and all key government positions occupied by them. How can this lead to peace and unity, WIPAS queried.”
