Buhari’s Sack of Ministers is right but Too Late- Moghalu

Kingsley Chiedu Moghalu.

2023 Presidential Aspirant, Kingsley Chiedu Moghalu has labelled President Muhammadu Buhari’s sack of two of his minister’s as a welcome development.

Switch Nigeria reported earlier today that Buhari relieved two of his ministers of their roles. The ministers are Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman and Minister of Agriculture, Muhammad Nanono.

Saleh Mamman was sacked today

The President, through his Aide, Femi Adesina made this known after the Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday.

But Economist and flag bearer of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) said the sack was untimely, that it should have come much earlier, not after 6 years.

He went on to reveal how he will go about stamping out incompetence from his administration if elected come 2023.

And so was Muhammad Nanono.

Moghalu said, “After six years of weak performance by his govt, Prez @Mbuhari has reportedly fired two Ministers (Agric &Power) who, presumably in his judgment deserved to go. It’s the correct decision but very late in the day. As President of Nigeria I will ensure accountability from Day 1.”

“I will have four key offices in the Presidency: Office of National Strategy, Risk Management Office, Performance Management Office, and Talent Management Office. The PMO will measure performance of political appointees constantly. Sack, early in the day, awaits non-performers.”
