BSU Ex VC, Ker Dies At 70

Professor David Ker, former Vice Chancellor of the Benue State University (BSU), is dead.

Ker passed on at the age of 70.

The cause of his demise is however, not known at the time of this report.

This was disclosed by a member of the North-Central People Forum (NCPF) on Friday.

The deceased was a member of the NCPF.

A source from the NCPF was quoted to have said, “We just received the sad news of the demise of one of our respected elders and leaders of the North Central Peoples’ Forum, (NCPF), Professor David Iyornongu Ker, OON, former Vice Chancellor of Benue State University, (BSU) and Veritas University, respectively.

“He was on the NCPF delegation which paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Senator Ibrahim Nasir Mantu, CFR, last week, and was also on the team which visited the Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, a fortnight ago.

“Prof Ker marked his 70th birthday June 6, 2021. He was a seasoned professor of English who taught in several universities and Chairman of the federal government visitation panel to the Federal University of Technology, Yola. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

“He will be sorely missed.”
