Some angry students of the Government Secondary School Tse-Agberagba allegedly burnt down their own school on Sunday.
According to a credible source, the students raided the school on Sunday and set fire on the administrative complex before the fire spread to other parts of the school.
It was gathered that they were protesting the school’s failure to validate their WAEC registration, which has kept them from participating in the on-going SSCE.
It was confirmed that the school has some issues with the West African Examination body which they are yet to rectify, hence the registration and verification issues.
On his part, Mr. James Jirgba who is the Chairman of Konshisha Local Government of Benue State where the school is located told news men that the situation was unfortunate and that the perpetrators will be brought to book.
The fire consumed important papers and documents dating back as far as the 1990s.
