On Thursday, the Benue State Government evacuated Benue State Students schooling in Jos, following the crisis that the Capital of Plateau has been engrossed in.
On his part, Orngu Anngu, the Special Assistant to Governor Samuel Ortom on Youth Affairs said the evacuation was aided by the Student Union president of University of Jos.

“Early yesterday, I lead (sic) a team on behalf of the Benue State Governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom and Government to evacuate Benue students from Jos, Plateau State. The evacuation became necessary following the crisis that have engulf (sic) Jos metropolis leading to loss of lives and wanton destruction of properties.”
In the Facebook post, Orngu they got home safely. More than 5 Toyota Hiace busses could be seen in the pictures he posted, with a police vehicle as escort.
“A while ago, we safely arrived Benue State capital with a large contingent of Benue students, safe and sound with no major incidence. To God Be The Glory.”
