The Ogun State Police have apprehended a Fulani boy with an AK-47 rifle.
According to Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, in his confirmatory statement, the boy named Mohammed was nabbed when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Imeko police division received information about the sighting of some Fulani boys wielding a gun in the forest.
According to the PRO, the CAC Oha forest, Iwoye-Ketu located in Imeko-Afon Local Government Area of the state was ransacked on Tuesday by officers acting on the intel and Mohammed was captured.
“After hours of combing the forest, Mohammed was seen hiding in the bush with one AK-47 rifle, and he was promptly arrested.
“The arrested armed boy is strongly suspected to be a member of kidnap syndicates who have been terrorizing the area for quite some time now,” Oyeyemi stated.
