Everton Appoints former Liverpool coach as Manager

Former Chelsea Manager, Rafa Benitez has been appointed the new Everton Manager.

Benitez who won the Champions League with Everton’s cross-town rivals penned a three year deal.

He formerly managed Newcastle, leading the Tyneside team from relegation and ensuring their stay in the Premier League before leaving, after the hierarchy of the club failed to back him financially.

Benitez who also won the Europa League with Chelsea during his interim tenure in 2013, will replace Carlo Ancelloti who recently departed for Real Madrid, after just 18 months on Merseyside.

His appointment divides opinion especially as he has I the past made derogatory remarks about Everton. As a result, he is a Liverpool favourite while most of the Everton fans hate him.

However, Benitez is a winner, as his rich trophy cabinet as a coach shows.
