Former Senator Shehu Sani who represented Kaduna Central during 8th Assembly has expressed concern over Nigerian leader’s preference for foreign hospitals.
Shehu who is also an author and an activist said this yesterday on his Twitter handle.
The 53-year-old noted that Abuja, Nigeria’s capital has some of the most expensive clinics and hospitals in Africa, yet the elite prefer to make series of medical trips abroad.
He said this after President Muhammadu Buhari departed Nigeria for London on Friday, for yet another checkup. Buhari was last in London in March.
Sani said, “Abuja has some of the African continent’s most expensive private clinics, yet not good enough for the country’s elites whom were mostly born in poor villages or ghettos.”
