Uzodinma Assures Imo People of Better Days, as Police Kill 5 Gunmen in Owerri

The hoodlums, it was gathered, tried to breach another police station in Owerri, this time the State Command Headquarters, during which they got into a shoot-out.

Consequently, 5 of them were killed out of the dozens that marched on the Headquarters.

The Governor noted that the gunmen were attempting to free some of their colleagues who have been locked up.

He said aside taking some of them into custody, about 7 AK 47 rifles, 3 pump action guns, and one busload of explosives that were supposed to be used to burn the place.

Uzodinma is on top of the matter.

“I know it is not easy. We are paying the price of the callous nature of some people and the hostility we don’t deserve that is being visited on our people.”

“Government will not fold its hands and allow the security and welfare of our people be trampled upon” the Governor stated.
