A former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode and human rights activist, Reno Omokri have lend their voices on the killings in Igangan, Oyo state.
More than 50 people were on Saturday brutally butchered in their homes by suspected Fulani terrorists, while the house of the traditional ruler of Igangan was also set ablaze.
Commenting on the attack and on the general insecurity in the nation, Fani-Kayode bemoaned the unfortunate incident, asking what could have possibly warranted such atrocities.
He said in a tweet, “Over 50 innocent souls butchered & cut to pieces in their homes by Fulani terrorists in Igangan, Oyo state & the Palace of the trad. ruler burnt to the ground. I shed tears when I saw the videos. Can there be any greater provocation than this? How do we respond to such barbarity?”
On his part, Reno, 47, lashed out on the Federal Government for keeping silent for almost a full day on the incident in Igangan, yet taking no time to announce the ban on Twitter.
“It took 2 hour for the Federal Government to call a press conference in response to the deletion of Buhari’s Tweet by Twitter. 14 hours after the slaughter of Nigerians at Igangan, Oyo, both Lai Mohammed and the FG are SILENT!”
