It was an all Manchester City affair at this year’s PFA awards, as the Premier League and League Cup Winners packed all the available individual awards.
The Award show which always comes at the end of every Premier League season saw Pep Guardiola claim the Manager of the Season Award, while Kevin De Bruyne went home with the Player of the Season, in what is is second year in a roll. This is the first time in 13 years that one player has won it back to back.
He did so in style too, beating Manchester United’s Bruno Fernándes to it, even though the Portuguese scored more goals and created more chances than the Belgian.
Only Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo have won back to back player of the season before now.
Phil Foden, the City protege who has been a revelation this season went home with tbe Young Player of the Season Award.
