The All Progressives Congress have stated that Nigeria’s current insecurity struggles were inherited from the People’s Democratic Party.
John Akpan Udoedehe, the National Secretary of the party said this in response to Governor Nyesom Wike’s comments on the inability of the APC-led Federal Government to tackle insecurity.
The Secretary noted that all what Wike said are “lies” and that the PDP were inept in their handling of Boko Haram.
“It is ironic that the dictator at the Rivers State government house has forgotten so soon that kidnapping for ransom, like the Boko Haram insurgency, did not start under this administration, but every effort is being made to stop it along with its twin evil of banditry.”
“A leopard cannot change its spots. The PDP is clearly in disarray. It was a failure in governance and a shocking failure as an opposition party.”
He added that the present administration has done well in pushing back the insurgents all the way back to a small patch in the Lake Chad Basin by equipping the military when needed.
