Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has slated the All Progressives Congress (APC) for poor performance.
Makinde said this was not the change that the party promised Nigerians when it was campaigning for votes back in 2015.
He said this while commissioning some public projects in Yola, made good by his Adamawa State counterpart, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.
“I have heard people say that all parties are the same. But tell them to compare the prosperity under 16 years of PDP to what they have now. The difference is clear,” Makinde said.
He said, “In the PDP we always say that our governors mean business. We believe in infrastructure and development. Those that can’t keep up with our work rates often end up going over to the other side where all they do is offer excuses and shed tears. And we know they will shed more tears in 2023.”
Makinde continued, “We know the change that they promised, we know what we are seeing. As I said during my remarks at the ceremony, the PDP governors mean business. We believe in improving infrastructure and development. We stand for prosperity and not poverty.”
On his part, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri promised to continue constructing major infrastructural projects that will help position the State capital was a modern metropolitan city.
Some of the roads constructed include, Weekly Scope Road, Mustapha Ismail Extension, CSC Road,Lekki Taba Street, and Dougeri Lane all in the Jimeta part of Yola.
Makinde appreciated the people of the State for making the right choice of voting Fintiri and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) during the 2015 and 2019 elections.
