Ban On Open Grazing: Aisha Yusufu Mocks Northern Governors (VIDEO)

Co-Convener of the Bring Back Our Girls Movement, Aisha Yusufu on Friday mocked the North over its reaction against the resolutions by the Southern Governors of the country.

Governors of the 17 southern states, under the aegis of Southern Governors Forum (SGF), had on Tuesday, after a meeting in Asaba, Delta State, resolved to ban open grazing by herders and also called for the restructuring of the country.

Governor of Ondo State and Chairman of SGF, Rotimi Akeredolu had read the 12-point communique.

Yusufu in a video posted on her facebook wall, laughed at some groups and personalities in the north, who kicked against the ban on open grazing in the 17 southern states of the country and other sundry issues.

She also mocked the north for thinking that it is the only region in the country with the monopoly of intolerance.

Recall that on Wednesday, senators and members of the House of Representatives from the south, in separate statements, endorsed the decision of the governors.

However, the North, expectedly, kicked vigorously against the position of southern governors.

Former Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Prof. Usman Yusuf faulted the decision because the Southern governors did not consult Fulani leaders before making the ‘No Grazing’ regulation.
