No fewer than six suspected bandits have been nabbed in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State by men of the Amotekun Corps, Oodua People’s Congress and the Vigilante Group of Nigeria.
Colonel Olayinka, the head of the Oyo State Amotekun Corps confirmed that the men were apprehended on Thursday morning, while men of the security outfits were out on a routine patrol.
According to the Colonel, the suspects were apprehended at two different scenes, after they were caught manning illegal road blocks.

Olayinka said, “They tried to escape from the scene but were given hot pursuit by the operatives as they tried to evade arrest. We are still on the trail of others who managed to escape from the scene.”
Those arrested are: Awali Atine, Ibrahim Abu, Shuaib Balau, Ibrahim Musa, Abdullah Masika and Umar Aliu Masika.

Olayinka disclosed that the suspects who were nabbed along Okeho-Ilua and Okeho-Iseyin Road around 4am, are all of Fulani descent.
He hinted that they often masquerade as herdsmen in the day time, and as bandits who rob and beat people at night.
Aside weapons, they were also caught with 183 cows and a total sum of N268, 470. All six men and all that was kn their possession, were handed over to the police.
