The Caretaker committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mai Mala Buni on Friday, played host to the former Speaker House of Representatives, Oladimeji Bankole and Jigawa state Governor Abubakar Badaru.
Discussions between the the trio centred on a wide range of political issues including the movement of the former speaker and his supporters into the party.
According to a statement issued by the Director General (DG) Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed, “It is evident that APC’s opportunities in Ogun state is growing and widening.”
The meeting between the three leaders may not also be unconnected to the 2023 general elections.
The statement also said the former Governor of Ogun state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel who was also former Director General of PDP’s Atiku Abubakar Presidential campaign organization has recently joined the party.
