The former Governor of Borno State, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff has expressed interest in the chairmanship position of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Senator Ali, a former chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), was in the entourage of Yobe State Governor, Mai-Mala Buni when he made this claims.
He said, “In the APC, we have respect for the constitution of our great party, and if the position of the National Chairman is zoned to the North-East where I come from, I will contest, God willing.”
Sheriff, a former Governor of Borno was in Yobe to side with his friend during the conduct of the Local Government elections in the state.
Sheriff jumped ship to the APC after he lost his position as the chairman of the PDP.
