A member of the National Assembly, representing the good people of Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency of Plateau State, Mr Gagdi, has declared that the All Progressive Congress (APC), will rule Nigeria for 100 years.
Mr. Gagdi who stated this after his APC’s membership revalidation exercise in Gum-Gagdi, said the party has been gaining momentum since 2015.
He also said that with the party’s sterling leadership qualities and performance, Nigerians will be left with no option but vote them in power come 2023.
“From the crowd you have seen here today, it is clear that APC, our party is on ground. Though God decides what happens, but with the achievements at various levels, we will retain power beyond 2023.
“Infact, it is not just about the next general elections, but the party will remain in power for the next hundred years,” NAN quoted him as saying.
Gagdi added that, with the current registration and membership revalidation exercise, more Nigerians are disposed to join the ruling party.
According to him, the increase in numerical strength and capacity will boost the activities of the party and make her to retain power at the federal level.
Recall that the People’s Democratic Party PDP, through its erstwhile national chairman, Vincent Ogbulafor, in 2008, said that the party will rule Nigeria for 60 years. Unfortunately, PDP was dethroned 7 years later!
On the 17th April, 2015, few weeks after the presidential election, Ogbulafor paid a courtesy call on the then APC’s national chairman, John Oyegun to congratulate them on their victory.
When asked of his previous statement regarding the rulership of PDP for 60 years, he said “yes I said so. But when they dismantled the Governors’ Forum, what do you expect?” retorted the former minister.
