Edo: Three Men Sell Non Existent Land For N6m, Land In EFCC Cell

Three men, alleged to have sold a non existent plot of land for N6 million, have been arrested by Benin Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

They three were arrested on Thursday.

The suspects are Monday Evboumwan, Adams Edigin and Charles Amenaghawon.

According to an EFCC statement issued by its Spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, the suspects have made useful statements adding that they will soon be arraigned in court as soon as investigations are completed.

The brief statement reads:

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office on Thursday February 4, arrested three persons allegedly involved in land sale scam.

Those arrested are Monday Evboumwan, Adams Edigin and Charles Amenaghawon. They are alleged to have sold a non existent plot of land for N6 million to an unsuspecting victim.

The suspects have made useful statements and will be arraigned in court as soon as investigations are completed
