Chelsea Appoints Thomas Tuchel as New Manager

Former Paris Saint Germain Manager, Thomas Tuchel has been appointed as the new coach and manager of Chelsea Football Club.

Lampard got the sack yesterday.

The German who managed to take PSG to their first ever Champions League final also managed Borussia Dortmund for some time.

Tuchel replaces former Blues midfielder, Frank Lampard who was sacked yesterday by Chelsea owner, Roman Ibrahimovic.

According to reports by Goal, Tuchel who was relieved of his duties by PSG in December, will overseer proceedings at Stamford Bridge for 18 months, with a possibility of an extension based on performances.

He will be expected to at least qualify the West London side for next season’s Champions League before the season runs out. Chelsea currently sit 9th on the Premier League table.
