The Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Hadiza Bala Usman, has been re-appointed by President Mohammadu Buhari, for an additional tenure of five years.
The President also approved the constitution of Non-Executive Board members of the NPA, to be headed by Mr Emmanuel Olajide Adesoye, from the South West geo-political region.
A statement released by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, on Friday said the other members of the NPA Board are: Prince Ekenyem Nwafor-Orizu (South-east zone), Akinwunmi Ricketts (South-south zone), Ghazali Mohammed Mijinyawa (North-East zone), Mustapha Amin Dutse (North-West zone), and Abdulwahab Adesina (North-Central zone).
According to the statement, the President equally approved Board members for the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), who will oversee the selection of a new Managing Director for the organization.
The Board members for the TCN are: Muhammad K. Ahmad, OON, (Chairman), Chief Henry Okolo, Imamudden Talba, Ambassador Usman Sarki, Ali Haruna, Engr. Simeone Atakulu, Zubaida Mahey Rasheed, Dr Mustapha Abiodun Akinkunmi, Engr. Oladele Amoda, and Dr Nkiru Balonwu.
The statement disclosed further that representatives of Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Ministry of Power, Bureau for Public Enterprise, FGN Power Company Limited, and Executive Management of TCN will also constitute members of the Board.
