Kamala Harris to Resign from Senatorial Position Today

Kamala Harris, the Vice President-elect of the United States of America is set to resign from her Senatorial position, as her swearing draws near.

Harris became the first female, first black woman and South Asian Vice President of the United States in November after the elections.

Harris has been the Senator representing California since 2017, after she became the first black woman to represent California at the Senate.

Kamala Harris is the new Vice President of the United States.

According to her aides, the 56-year-old has already begun her resignation process, one of which is to notify the Governor of her home state of California, Mr. Gavin Newsom.

Alex Padilla is likely to replace Harris.

Democrat, Alex Padilla, who is currently the Secretary of State of California, is set to replace Harris after she announces her resignation on Monday.
