The Flag Officer Commanding, Central Naval Command, Yenagoa, Rear Admiral Saidu Garba, has warned militants planning to return to the waters in the region to keep off.

Garba stated this on Tuesday after inaugurating the Central Naval Command housing estate, as part of activities to mark this year’s Armed Forces Rememberance Day.

He said, “The Nigerian Navy and the military are poised to deal decisively with any persons who in any way undermine the unity of this country. Specifically, the destruction of oil and gas infrastructures is economic sabotage.”

“I will advise that whoever is thinking of that should embrace jaw-jaw with the government and present their grievances. I’m sure the government will find a way to solve such problems. I want to assure you that we are ready to tackle any problem in line with our statutory responsibilities.”
