Gunmen have reportedly killed 7 people in Zangon-Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to reports, the incident which took place on Thursday night also left 1 person injured, while about 13 houses were burnt.
It was gathered that the armed bandits invaded Gora Gan community and opened fire on the villagers, as they fled for shelter.
Mr. Samuel Aruwan, who is the Kaduna State Commissioner for Home Affairs and Internal Security confirmed the report, adding that security forces pushed the bandits back and also retrieved the corpses of those murdered.
“The security agencies carrying out internal security operations in parts of southern Kaduna State have reported that Gora Gan community in Zangon Kataf Local Government came under attack on Thursday night”, Aruwan said.
According to him, “security agencies, comprising the military and police, reported that Gora Gan community was attacked on several fronts, including the market area and houses stretching towards the Tudun Wada area of Gora Gan.”
The statement released by the Commisioner gave the names and ages of those killed as:

-Ayuba Steven Sheyin 67
-Jummai Ayuba 55
-Ishaya Joel 35
-Yakubu Saviour 14
-Ayuba Goodluck 11, and
-Patience Ayuba 6
