The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, has tested positive for Coronavirus.
This was disclosed on Tuesday by a member of the Supreme Court, Justice Ibrahim Saulawa, during the unveiling of the national headquarters of the Muslim Lawyers’ Association of Nigeria (MULAN).
He disclosed further that the CJN is presently in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, receiving treatment.
Recall that Justice Muhammad was absent at the swearing in of 72 new Senior Advocates of Nigeria on Monday.
The ceremony and oaths was performed by the next most senior Justice of the Supreme Court,
Justice Olabode Rhodes-Vivour, who is the next most senior Justice of the Supreme Court, administered oaths to the new Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN) during the ceremony.
