President Mohammadu Buhari has expressed shock over the sudden demise of the Chairman and Publisher of Leadership newspaper, Sam Nda -Isaiah.
NDA-Isaiah was a former presidential aspirant with on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2015.
He died on Friday at the age of 58, after a brief illness according to a family source.
While reacting to the sudden demise of the trained Pharmacist, President Buhari in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adelina, described the newspaper columnist as ‘a friend and ally.’
The statement reads, “President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed shock and sadness at the death of Publisher of Leadership Newspapers, Sam Nda-Isaiah, a man he describes as “a friend and ally.”
Extending his condolence to his family, friends and associates as well as the media community, the President said the country has lost someone who believed in a better Nigeria.
“The President condoles with the media fraternity, the Nda-Isaiah family, friends and associates of the deceased, saying “the country has lost a man of conviction, a resolute and dogged believer in a better Nigeria.
“He will be sorely missed. This is a massive fish gone out of the media ocean,” President Buhari further says of the pharmacist, renowned columnist, and one time presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).”
