According to reports from Lagos, the Oshodi-Apapa has been on lockdown for the past two days.
Articulated vehicles could be seen on unending qeues along that axis.
The situation has left many motorists plying the road frustrated, especially as nothing is being done by either security personnel or the Lagos State Government to open up the road.
One who spoke to newsmen, said: “We have been here for hours. We are helpless because there is nobody controlling the traffic. It appears the security agents and traffic controllers have abandoned their job.”
Gridlocks are a usual sight on the Oshodi-Apapa Way, but the situation got worse since Tuesday.
