Dr. Shuaib Belgore who has recently assumed the office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, has reiterated the Ministry’s commitment for continuous border surveillance.
Dr. Belgore made this known while on a visit to the Lagos State Headquarters of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
Belgore who succeeded Georgina Ehuriah-Arisa after she completed her 35 years of service, said: “I am also using this opportunity to commend the Minister of Interior, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, for effective supervision of the service.”
“My visit to the Lagos Airport Command has shown me the proof that NIS is a superb service that is pivotal to our country’s existence.”
“The gadgets I saw at the Airport Command depicts that the service is at an advanced stage of development despite the high costs involved,” he said.
