USWNT Player, Megan Rapinoe Proposes to Longtime Partner, Suzanne Bird

On Friday, popular United States Women National Team (USWNT) star, Megan Rapinoe proposed to her long time fiancee, Suzanne Bird.

Suzanne Bird, known professionally as Sue Bird, who is an Israeli American basketball player, plays for the Seattle Storm.

35-year-old Rapinoe is a footballer, while 40-year-old Bird is a basketballer.

Rapinoe, 35, and Bird, 40, have for long been known to be couples but have now decided to take the next step in their relationship.

The two met back in 2016 at the Rio Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where Bird won a gold medal with the WNBA. Rapinoe, however, crashed out with the USWNT.

The two met then, but didn’t make their relationship open until in recent years when Bird made the announcement during an interview.

Bird has 4 Olympic gold medals and has just recently won her fourth WNBA championship. Her partner, Rapinoe, on the other hand has won medals for herself too. She has won two female world cup titles and also has an Olympic gold medal.
