Despite the curfew imposed by Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State on Saturday evening, hoodlums have continued to break into private and public facilities, moving away food items and other belongings.
Our source have it that the house of the former speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon.Yakubu Dogara, was also on Sunday morning, broken into by hoodlums whom carted away several items.
Former Speaker Dogara’s house is located at Lamingo, near Jos University Teaching Hospital, Jos Plateau State.
The state has witnessed several attacks on government facilities by hoodlums, all in the search for COVID-19 palliatives, and this made the state government to declare another curfew in Jos North and Jos South Local government areas of the State, on Saturday.
The source disclosed that the house was attacked about 9:00am, on Sunday.
Although the policemen and other security operatives enforcing the curfew shot to disperse the rampaging youths, they forcefully found their way into the house.
“They broke into the house of the former Speaker and attacked everyone, including Dogara’s brother, and (they) are currently moving anything they see. In the process, the invaders moved several items – tricycles, furniture, electronics, and other valuables – out of the house,” our source confirmed.
