Some inmates at the National Correctional Service Centre In Okitipupa, Okitipupa Local Government Area Headquarters of Ondo State, have been released after hoodlums broke into the facility on Thursday.
According to Punch, about 85 inmates were set free in the attack that saw the burning of a vehicle.
Several items were said to be destroyed in the prison area.
The attack, the report said, was confirmed by the Spokesman of the state command of NCS, Ogundare Babatunde.
This comes few days after hoodlums had invaded and set free some prisoners in a prison in Edo State.
