The Benue Geographic Information Service (BENGIS) mast installation work has commenced.
The mast installation is at the State Ministry of Lands, Survey and Solid Minerals.

According to the project contractor, the BENGIS project will boost signals for Survey operations as well as improve better GIS communication coverage.
It will also enhance systematic and efficient land titling, re- certification, regularization and registration of titles as well as support improved urban planning/development control, infrastructural development, environmental management, among several other benefits.
Such state of the art facilities are also expected to be installed in the three Zonal offices of the Ministry, which include; Gboko, Otukpo and Adikpo.
Governor Samuel Ortom had last month, flagged-off the comprehensive BENGIS project as a deliberate effort to revolutionalize land administration in the state for improved services.
