Two persons have lost their lives, while several others have been injured after protesters clashed with some cutlass-wielding youths during the #EndSARS protests in Edo State.
It was gathered that the clash which took place at Kings Square, began after some persons approached the protesting youths, demanding they quiet down on the noise.
When the protesters, it was learnt, did not burge, the disgruntled group then grabbed some cutlasses and clubs, with which they attacked the protesters, as both parties exchanged blows.
The fracas left two persons dead while many others sustained various degrees of injuries.
Nigerians nationwide are protesting against police brutality, agitating for Police reforms, and calling for the Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS), which has already been dissolved and replaced with SWAT, to be terminated.
