Governor Akeredolu Wins Second Term

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has been declared winner of Saturday’s election that was held in Ondo State by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

INEC’s Returning Officer, Prof. Idowu Olayinka announced the result on Sunday.

Akeredolu of the APC pulled in a total of 292, 830 votes while his closest opponent, Eyitayo Jegede of the PDP came second with 195, 791.

LP – 1,977

Eyitayo Jegede of the PDP lost the election.
