The Ekiti State Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has suspended Governor Kayode Fayemi on grounds of anti-party activities.
This was disclosed on Friday, when the party released a statement signed by seven members of the executive committee.
According to the statement, Fayemi was suspended due to “his numerous anti-party activities, especially his role in the recently concluded governorship election in Edo State which is contrary to the provisions of Article 21 (A) (ii) of the APC Constitution.”
The APC in Ekiti State alleged that Fayemi had, some few days to the Edo State elections, hosted PDP chieftain, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, wherein they planned on how to help the PDP win the Edo State elections.
Prior to this, the APC also alleged that in Oyp State, Fayemi played a major role in PDP’s victory over the APC.
