20 persons were left injured, while a man named Mamman Musa was killed when farmers and herders clashed in Madamuwa village, a suburb of Guri Local Government Area, Jigawa State.
It was gathered that the clash between the two groups took place around 2:30PM in Madamuwa, when a group of herders attempted grazing their cows on a cultivated farmland.
The fracas was confirmed by the spokesman of the Jigawa State Police Command, SP Abdu Jinjiri.
He said the Police were mobilized to the scene of the incident and two suspects namely Ardo Barau 45 year and Buba Jummu 23 year all of Madamuwa Fulani settlement were arrested.
He went on to say that not less than 20 persons were found on the scene of the incident, injured.
The man that died was said to be 55 years old.
“Out of the number of victims, fourteen persons were rushed to Lafiya Primary Health Care for treatment while six who were shot with arrows were rushed to Federal Medical centre Nguru in Yobe State for treatment”
