Notorious Benue Militia Leader, Gana Killed by Military
Wanted Benue State militia leader, Terwase Akwaza, also known as Gana has been killed by the military.

The Commander of the Four Special Forces command, Doma Local Government Area, Brigadier General Maude Ali Gadzama on Tuesday confirmed this to newsmen via a telephone call, the killing of Terwase Akwaza, alias Gana.
Gadzama went on to say that Gana was killed this evening in a firefight with military personnel.
He was all smiles too.
However, the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, said soldiers apprehended Gana from a government convoy of repentant militants in Gboko.
Gana had earlier on Tuesday, along with 172 militia men, reportedly surrendered amid traditional rulers, priests, and local government officials in Katsina-Ala Local Government in Benue.

In 2015, upon his assumption of office, Governor Samuel Ortom had given Gana amnesty. However, he went back to his ways.
In 2017, the Nigerian Police, Benue State Command, had declared Gana wanted, for allegedly killing innocent civilians.
