The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has warned the general public to be wary of the viral link being shared in the social media and blogs (see pictures below), disclosing that the link is the fabrication of fraudsters and instructing that the Ministry will communicate anything concerning the NPower Applicants through their official channels.

The fraudulent link has been inadvertently visited by many applicants who have provided their vital information on the website, putting themselves at the mercy of hackers and fraudsters. Their emails could be compromised and their BVN and bank account could be accessed.

In two separate posts on their Twitter page yesterday, the Ministry said, “Please disregard,
Kindly share and help us in checking these fraudulent messages.” And also tweeted, “NOTICE: Beware of fraudsters! We will communicate through our official channels.”

The general public is hereby advised to please share this news to inform unsuspecting citizens against patronising the link or any other that is not the official channel of the Ministry or NPower.
