President of Nigeria and Commander in Chief, Major General Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated his administration’s commitment to the fight against corruption.
Buhari said this at the graduation ceremony of the National Defence College Course 28 in Abuja on Thursday.
In his speech, which was delivered by his representative, Minister of Defence, Bashir Magashi, the president said there is still alot that needs to be done in areas such as poverty alleviation, job creation and general wellbeing of the people.
“On corruption, we are more determined than ever before to stay on the path we have chosen in the interest of our dear nation to fight corruption without fear no matter who is involved,” Buhari added.
He further called on his security chiefs to synergies in their efforts to combat terrorism and insurgency in the country. He added that despite the numerous challenges bedevilling the nation in the form of the pandemic, insecurity and corruption, his administration still has the desire to pull through.
“In spite of all of these, our faith in the nation is unshaken. Our resolve and will to take the nation to greater heights is strong,” he said.
