Over 40 #RevolutionNow Protesters Arrested in Abuja as Armed Military Forces Ransack the City

More than 40 #RevolutionNow protesters have been arrested in Abuja by armed military personnel in order to foil the protest the group wanted to carry out.

The protests who were mostly coming from Mararaba, were apprehended by the officers around Unity Fountain and tucked away in pickup trucks, while they continued conducting a stop-and-search inspection on other vehicles to arrest suspected protesters.

Today, 5th August marked the 1st anniversary of the #RevolutionNow movement, which rose up last year to demand better governance from the current administration led by Major General Muhammadu Buhari.

Protesters in different parts of the country are participating in the protests, but those in Abuja are being hunted down by a convoy of over 40 trucks laden with armed men.
