A motor boy, whose name is not yet known, has lost his life along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway in an accident.

It was gathered that the boy who was attached to a truck carrying a container losf his life when they truck somersaulted.

Babatunde Akinbiyi, who is the spokesman of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), confirmed the accident in Abeokuta on Sunday.

Babatunde explained that the truck was coming from Apapa, Lagos, to an unknown destination when the accident happened.
Akinbiyi said a motorist, who was behind the truck, explained that the truck driver was recklessly speeding along the diversion route, which made the truck overturn, while the container detached.

He said, “The body of the motor boy has been deposited in the Divine Heights Hospital mortuary, Mowe.”

“With the intervention of TRACE and other sister agencies, the truck was upturned and towed off the road, while Julius Berger is expected to move the container.”
