Kogi: Three Kidnappers Killed, Two Caught on Okene-Lokoja Road

The combined Security Task Force in Kogi have continued to score major successes against kidnapping, armed banditry and robbery as in the early hours of today, the Security Task Force along with the help of hunters of Adavi. The confrontation happened, coincidentally, in the presence of two Senior Special Advisers of the Governor of Kogi State, namely the SSA to the governor on Security in charge of Okehi Local Government Area, Honourable Abdulraheem Ohiare, and his counterpart in charge of Adavi Local Government Area, Honourable Joseph Omuya Salami.

The news was disclosed by King Habib, the Media Aide to the Deputy Governor Edward Onoja this morning. He said:

Another attacked by kidnappers along Okene lokoja road was foiled by the Okehi Local Government and Adavi hunters early hours of today.

The SSA security incharge of Okehi Local Government Hon Abdulraheem Ohiare and his Adavi countapart Hon Joseph Omuya Salami led the hunters to the bush base on intelligent report.

The hunters who apprehended one Mr Godwin Peter a native of Ikẹ̀jẹ̀ in Ọ́lamabọ̀rọ́ Local Government and Sanni Habib, a native of Idoji in Okene Local Government at sight patrolling the road as at about 4:30 am today. Both confessed to be working as spies, and the details they gave led to the success of the operation this morning.

Sighting the SSA Security of Okehi LG and Adavi including the hunters, all were never the same as the kidnappers shot sprodically and three of the kidnappers were gun down by the hunters.

Three sophisticated pump action riffles, Bullets, Mask and Charms were recovered from the kidnappers.

The war against criminals has intensified since the governor Yahaya Bello was appointed as the head of the North Central Governors Security Committee.
