International Flights to Resume Before October- Minister of Aviation, Sirika

The Minister of Aviation, Mr. Hadi Sirika, has given a tentative date for the resumption of international flights to and from Nigeria.

Sirika made this known on Tuesday via his Twitter handle, saying that international flights will resume before October, thereby putting to death the rumours that the date for the resumption of international flights was already fixed.

Mr. Sirika.

There has been no international flights to and from Nigeria since March, when the Federal Government closed down airports in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic that has plagued the world.

The Minister’s Tweet.

“International Flight resumption date is not October,” Sirika said. “NAMA just issued a routine 90 day Notices to Airmen (NOTAM).

“In liaison with Health, Foreign Affairs & PTF COVID-19, we will announce the agreed date, regardless of the ban by Europe, UAE etc. May be earlier than October.”
