President Muhammadu Buhari has directed that the name of the railway station in Agbor, Delta State, be changed to Goodluck Jonathan Railway Station and Complex.
The disclosure was made on Saturday by Nigeria’s Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, during his inspection visit at the Warri-Itakpe Rail Line.

The minister disclosed further that railway fares would double as a result of measures to halt the spread of COVID-19 when services begin on rail lines, especially on the Abuja-Kaduna line.
Also confirming the approval the name change the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Digital and New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi tweeted thus: “President Buhari has approved the naming of the railway complex in Agbor – the operational hub of the Itakpe-Warri rail line – after former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
“It will be known as the Goodluck Jonathan Railway Station and Complex – Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi.”
