HADARIN DAJI Hits Armed Bandits Hard, Rescues Kidnapped Victims

The troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI have rescued several kidnapped victims and recovered rustled livestock in Zamfara and Sokoto States. This was disclosed this afternoon on the 12th of July 2020 by the Defence Headquarters DHQ. In response to a reliable intelligence information, the troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI who are entrusted with keeping the North-West area of the country safe from dangerous armed bandits and terrorists, embarked on a daring aggression against armed bandits to clear the areas around Daki Takwas and Tashar Kuturu in Anka and Talata Mafara Local Government Areas of Zamfara State. The troops had a confrontation with the armed bandits and overwhelmed the recalcitrant criminals with superior offensives.

During the encounter which took place yesterday the 11th of July 2020, scores were neutralized while other few other bandits escaped with gun shots wounds. The troops recovered 302 cattle and 412 sheep that were rustled by the daredevil bandits. They also recovered one empty magazine and 5 mobile phones.

Efforts are in top gear to identify the owners of the livestock and return them.

In a related Operation, 3 kidnap victims were rescued in Isa Local Government Area of the State of Sokoto, as well as two kidnap victims at Yari village, Sabon Birni Local Government Area, of Sokoto. The victims on disclosed that they were kidnapped on Monday, the 1st of June, 2020 more than a month ago. The troops have handed over the rescued victims to the Sokoto State Government.

The troops on Friday, 10th July 2020 while on patrol, arrested five members of Yan Sakai group and along with a gun fabricator on the axis of the Maga-Kyabu-Tadurga village road. They recovered one motorcycle, 10 dane guns, a catarpult, a dagger, a saw, 16 plugs, an axe and 3 mobile phones.
