Real Madrid has reportedly given an open official statement on its merger with women football club side, Deportivo Tacon, in which they hope to feature in as a team, beginning from the start of next season.The logo of Deportivo Tacon.

“The Real Madrid CF communicates that it has sent the Royal Spanish Football Federation the corresponding documentation to make effective the merger by absorption of the Club Deportivo Tacón, for women’s football, as approved by the Extraordinary General Assembly of Committed Members held on 15 September 2019,” the statement read.

“The Royal Spanish Football Federation has informed us that said documentation is correct, so the merger will be effective when the current 2019-20 football season is definitively terminated.”

Real Madrid will play the women’s soccer competitions from the 2020-21 season, with Ciudad Real Madrid hosting their matches and training sessions.

“Likewise, our women’s football academy will be made up of the Senior, Youth and Cadet teams. A quarry structure that will allow us to remain faithful to our philosophy of detecting, training and developing young talents. Our teams will also play their respective competitions starting next season 2020-21. Real Madrid is looking forward to this new challenge with the commitment of promoting the promotion of women’s football and contributing to its development and growth in our society”.The two clubs are set for a merger.

According to the Royal Spanish Football Federation, it has agreed with the corresponding documents for the merger of both teams and will become effective as from the termination of this season.
